Anna works as an artist in London and is a graduate of BA (Hons) Fine Art, Central St Martins and MFA Sculpture, Slade School of Fine Art, where she was the recipient of the Siva-Finestone Scholarship. Anna is a Bloomberg New Contemporaries 2018 artist and the recipient of the highly acclaimed Mark Tanner Sculpture Award 2018.
Anna’s work comprises sculpture, moving image, animation, sound and spoken word. The works are often combined as mixed media installation or activated with performance. The work re-imagines machine-made and organic forms through techniques of making by hand. Synthetic and disposable materials are used to clad, carve and render surfaces to explore moments of accumulation, energy and regenerative growth.
Alongside teaching at the Hampstead School of Art, she recently held the position of Artist in Residence at Academy for Visual Arts, Hong Kong and Artist in Residence at Non-Space, Aarhus, Denmark.
