Drawing and how it underpins painting, is at the heart of this course. Focussing on a structured introduction to the skills of drawing and painting, you will be using a wide range of media and methods, aimed at giving you the ability to make academic drawing and painting more accessible. Including observational drawings of flora and fauna and set projects which look at the work of other artists. Outcomes will reflect the ambitious ideas in your personal making of artworks, including the experimentation involved in developing your conceptual thinking underpinned by research.
You will be encouraged to express your individual ideas and listen to the ideas of others, developing your skills and creative focus, a true art school experience.

Felicitas Tomlin was born in Sweden and grew up in the US and Germany. She studied painting at Vestlandets Kunstakademi, Bergen, Norway and Staedelschule, Frankfurt under Professor Per Kirkeby.
