Taking a few simple objects to create a sense of mood in painting.
We will look at a range of artists and see how different approaches and techniques can give a sense of poetry and universality to the everyday. We will refer to the work of Caravaggio, Zurbaran, Gwen John, Morandi, Antonio Lopez-Garcia and see how a mixture of observation and invention can take the paintings onto another level.
