Exhibiting Membership 2017/18

All members are eligible to submit work for a minimum of 3 exhibitions each year. All work must be for sale. Yearly membership is £30 from September to August. A handling fee will be charged per artwork and each work will require a Jiffy bag.

Hampstead Artists Council (HAC) aims to facilitate the public showing and sale of work produced by HSoA students and the wider community. To this end the school reincorporated HAC in 2014. With its origins at Camden Art Centre, HAC is the art school’s mother organisation and invites members to submit work for at least three exhibitions per year.

'Art Fair Day' is part of Hampstead Summer Festival and takes place at Whitestone Pond, NW3 1EA, the highest geographical point of London and part of Hampstead Heath. Date to be confirmed.

Exhibiting Membership: Terms and Conditions 

  1. Artists must be 16 years plus.
  2. Artists may submit up to 3 works. All artworks must be originals or short limited edition of handmade prints.
  3. Paintings must be dry.
  4. Work should list artists name, title, medium, contact details and price.
  5. All work must be for sale. 30% commision is charged on each sale.
  6. All work must be framed, no clip frames, or glass please.
  7. Canvases stretched on good quality frames are acceptable without frames.
  8. Unless otherwise stated artworks should have a wire across the back for  hanging. 
  9. All work must be submitted in ‘stiffy bags’ - available from the school office.
  10. Work must be collected from HSoA within 3 days of the final date of the exhibition, thereafter, uncollected work will incur a storage charge of £5 per day. After five days any uncollected work will be donated to charity.
  11. Artists take part in the events at their own risk. HSoA does not accept responsibility for any loss, breakage, damage or theft of their work. Please have personal insurance in place.
  12. All work must be inoffensive and its suitability is solely at the discretion of the school. HSoA reserves the right to reject work for exhibition.
  13. Work will be displayed wherever it is felt best without prior arrangement with the artist.
  14. Artists will be reimbursed by cheque through HSoA within 10 days of the sale transaction.
  15. Terms and conditions may be subject to change.
  16. On registering for this membership individuals will be bound by these terms. 
  17. Special conditions may apply for individual exhibitions please check with art school office.
