Expand traditional drawing and painting techniques while discovering a variety of media and artists. Students will explore elements of composition and mark- making, colour theory and perspective to produce exciting, unique artworks.

James Bullimore is a performance artist, print maker and photographer. James’s practice explores the authenticity of self-presentation. His work has been exhibited internationally, from Venice to Tokyo, and extensively throughout Britain. He has a BA from University of the Arts London, an MA from the Royal College of Art and has lectured at universities across the UK. His studio is based in south London.

Children's Parties at HSoA

Sunday afternoons Birthday Parties are fun packed and filled with art. Your guests will enjoy working with an artist, focused on a theme suited to their age (Starting at school year 6) and produce a finished artwork. Art materials are included. Times available between 2pm-4.30pm on Sundays with a maximum stay of 2 hours. Parking is free on local residential roads. Art activity lasts for one hour and 30 minutes, the remaining 30 minutes allocated to food, drinks and of course, birthday cake. Fine Art Level 3 Foundation

This is a one year experimental learning course leading to our own certificate, independently moderated to meet national standard. Typically our students apply for undergraduate and postgraduate courses or continue onto our Advance Practice Course. Weekly constructive critiques ensure the continuing progress and direction of individual work, while gallery and artists studio visits support students writing on the cultural context of their developing work. Application is by portfolio interview with the Principal.
