Summer portfolio course

Week 1- Portfolio Workshop (GCSE & A Level)

An intensive experimental course, designed to explore your imagination using drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking & photography.

Essential to the development of the aspiring art student. Examining the basics of drawing and painting, learning techniques to explore form, structure and composition. Great for GCSE and A-Level Support.

Young Adult's Lunch £5 per day.
Early drop off and late pick up £10 per half hour.

Fine Art Level 3 Foundation

This is a one year experimental learning course leading to our own certificate, independently moderated to meet national standard. Typically our students apply for undergraduate and postgraduate courses or continue onto our Advance Practice Course. Weekly constructive critiques ensure the continuing progress and direction of individual work, while gallery and artists studio visits support students writing on the cultural context of their developing work. Application is by portfolio interview with the Principal.

Guided Studio Practice

As an artist of HSoA ‘Guided Studio Practice’ you will be working independently in an HSoA studio, providing a stimulating and flexible environment for artists to experiment and make new work. Studio Based Practice reflects the lively, rigorous and open-ended approaches to art-making championed by HSoA. Artists will work in the shared studio close to the art school.
