Young Adults Drawing & Painting | Yr 9+

Drawing and how it underpins painting, is at the heart of this course. Focusing on a structured introduction to the skills of drawing and painting, you will be using a wide range of media and methods, aimed at giving you the ability to make academic drawing and painting more accessible. Including observational drawings of flora and fauna and set projects which look at the work of other artists. Outcomes will reflect the ambitious ideas in your personal making of artworks, including the experimentation involved in developing your conceptual thinking underpinned by research.

You will be encouraged to express your individual ideas and listen to the ideas of others, developing your skills and creative focus, a true art school experience.

Suitable for students currently in School Years 9-12.
Materials are provided. Classes may get messy, please have appropriate clothing.

James Bullimore

James Bullimore is a performance artist, print maker and photographer. James’s practice explores the authenticity of self-presentation. His work has been exhibited internationally, from Venice to Tokyo, and extensively throughout Britain. He has a BA from University of the Arts London, an MA from the Royal College of Art and has lectured at universities across the UK. His studio is based in south London.
