A two Day Introduction to Handbuilding Pottery.
During this two day course you will learn the basics of handbuilding pottery, known as studio ceramics. Starting by shaping your piece using the pinching techniques, coiling, paddling, and slab building methods to manipulate the clay into unique forms, and joining pieces of clay seamlessly, allowing you to make larger or more sculptural pieces.
No experience is necessary, you will have hands-on guidance and individual feedback every step of the way. You will come away feeling confident and comfortable creating with clay. You will have the opportunity to create at least three items.
The teacher will be giving demos throughout the course ensuring you feel at ease with the processes.
