I am delighted to exhibit the paintings of Mary Tempest at HSoA Gallery. This collection of ‘Abstract Paintings’ is not only a celebration of colour, it makes decisions about materials and ideas which engage a myriad of skills and thinking. As Tempest says "building paintings through intuition, emotional response, feelings, builds a personal reality which we can all visit in our own ways."
If there is such a thing as contemporary colour, then Tempest is tapping powerfully into it.
