Artist Exhibition / Matt Phillips at Aeon Gallery, Hampstead

Abstract & Open Painting tutor Matt Phillips currently has a solo exhibition at the Aoen Gallery in Hampstead.

The show mainly brings together his most recent paintings. Neglected, overlooked, dilapidated or sunlit buildings are a favourite. Although paintings of buildings, they are also paintings about people and the lives they lead.

Matt looks for beauty within the mundane, and story within stillness. His work captures fragments of life, giving voice to fleeting moments in time.
