Horizon Line Chamber – Under Construction

Yesterday I was able to see the progress on the Chamber as I was up at Sunderland Point for a Day of slow art with Radio 4, Front Row, which will air on Boxing Day at 7.15 pm. The program will be devoted to The Horizon Line Chamber and Sunderland Point. Andrew Mason and his team have done a stunning job, it is truly beautiful – incredible I would say. Each stone has been cut by hand to sit in the right place and the two colours of sandstone are lovely. On this the last day of work they are 3 rows up into the ceiling and roof which will be capped by one massive stone. Work will resume in January.
