Verrocchio Art Centre and HSoA Painting & Sculpture Workshops in Tuscany

This collaboration between Verrocchio Art Centre and Hampstead School of Art offers students the opportunity to learn in the picturesque setting of Tuscany.

HSoA tutor Francis Martin will be teaching the painting workshop and Patricia Barker will be teaching sculpture.


Expect Schedule (to be confirmed closer to the time)

Arrival on 27 July at Pisa Airport (depending on flights but most possibly Easyjet usually have a London flight arriving at 15.40 transfer to Verrocchio departing 16.30)

Reach Casole d'Elsa at 6pm (usually)

19.30 Drinks on the terrace

20.00 Dinner on the terrace (3 courses with wine)

28 - 30 July 28 July Studio Workshops

On the first morning after breakfast tour of the village with Nigel Konstam (Sculptor and founder of the Art Centre with historic links to Hampstead)

Workshops take place with a morning and afternoon session. Long lunch break re-start approx 3.30pm.

31 July Day off (if wished a trip to San Gimignano, Siena or Florence - Nigel Konstam will give an evening lecture on a preceding evening.

Day off can also be used to work in the studios independently.

(Cook's night off - group trip to eat at local restaurant)

1 - 4 Aug Studio Workshops continue.

On the last day (4 Aug) before dinner, an informal exhibition of the works created by the students (curated by the tutors) with drinks around 7pm.

5 Aug Departure after breakfast to Pisa Airport usually around 9.30am
