HSoA Atelier Studio / Life Drawing Workshop: 'An introduction to Atelier training'

New HSoA Atelier Studio Life Drawing Workshop: 'An introduction to Atelier training'

What will I learn in this Atelier Studio Life Drawing workshop? In this intense 3 day workshop, Lizet Dingemans will take you through the ‘Atelier method’, which emerged around the 17th century and later became the most common method of training painters.

Students of differing experience work together with tutor tailoring teaching to each student’s individual requirements. Tasks are assigned like building blocks and each task must be completely mastered before moving on to the next. This is an extremely effective way of quickening the process of learning and improving.

You will draw from the model as well as from cast/portrait in 3 hour blocks. A structured method of tackling any drawing or painting problem will be taught, including how to measure, judging tones and angles and finishing/rendering. Suitable for all levels.

We are delighted that Lizet Dingemans will be launching the New HSoA Atelier Studio with this workshop, based in the inspirational Chapel Campus, Hampstead Cemetery, Fortune Green Road; 5 mins walk from the art school's main building. Limited parking available.
