Drawing and Painting: The Atelier Method

Drawing and Painting: The Atelier Method

What is the atelier course?

Using the structure of the private ateliers and academies of the 19th century, we aim to give students the technical grounding and understanding to approach any problem with confidence.

Alongside constant life drawing students progress through casts to a live portrait, and then more expansive and substantial poses, with the introduction to paint only once a level of drawings is reached. Each step adding new elements to be incorporated into one's repertoire.
