Still-Life into Landscape; Transformed and Abstracted

Still-Life into Landscape; Transformed and Abstracted

Drawing, Composition and Colour Workshop

The still-life can be seen and used as a vehicle of transformation; it's rhythm, movement, grouping, scale and space can suggest form and feeling that relates to the landscape.
It has the capacity to be reorganised, reshape – think of Cezanne's grand still-lives in relation to his Mont Saint Victoire, and De Stael's reduced/ambiguous objects in an infinite space.
During This workshop we will draw and use collage, creating several compositions, and building towards an abstraction of the forms before us.
