Jewellery

Jewellery

Join this extended studio session following the afternoon class or take as a stand-alone class. Continue your individual projects, extend your skills and knowledge.

A small friendly class tailored for students of all abilities, from beginners to those with some jewellery skills wishing to improve or advance. Beginners start by using base metals, such as copper and brass, advancing to silver and gold. During the course students will experiment with a range of techniques such as shaping, forming and soldering. Particular emphasis is given not only to the practical skills of jewellery making but also to the design and wearability of finished items. Past students have gone from novice level to selling their own pieces on the design circuit.
