Introducing students to the fundamentals of oil painting leading to advanced techniques.
Subjects of landscape, still life, portraiture, and master studies will be introduced if wished, as well as the development of personal projects.
Techniques include alla prima, layering, glazing, impasto (thick, textured application, fat over lean, techniques include scumbling, sfumato for soft blending, and underpainting for tone.
Individual guidance from the tutor throughout.
